Sancti Spiritus, May 4 (RHC)-- More than 200 friends of Cuba, making up the 11th Contingent of the May 1st International Solidarity Brigade arrived in central Sancti Spiritus province on Thursday.
The brigadistas, most of whom are visiting Cuba for their very first time, come from 34 countries. During their three-day stay in Sancti Spiritus, they will tour places of historical, economic and social interest. They will also exchange with representatives of students, workers and grassroots organizations to learn first hand about Cuba's reality.
This year's contingent of the May 1st International Solidarity Brigade, which arrived in Cuba on April 25th, participated along with the Cuban people in the massive march on May Day -- International Workers' Day-- at Havana's José Martí Revolution Square.
