Governmental visits to Cuban provinces are not stopped

June has also been a month of constant governmental visits to the different provinces of Cuba to dialogue with the people, to know their needs, concerns and to advance in the solution of the diverse existing problems.
It is a work method valued by the population, which is involved in the solution and control of what is being done in search of results, even in the midst of the difficult economic conditions the country is going through.
The potentialities of the different territories are evaluated in order to promote development from the municipality, a priority that requires the effort of all.
But the first days of this month brought a new challenge with heavy rains in the center and east of the country, which caused numerous damages, especially in roads, agricultural areas and housing, a complex issue.
Therefore, without neglecting the attention to other territories, the authorities have emphasized these provinces affected by the rains, which caused rivers to swell and floods, which in some places reached levels that had not been seen in the last 30 years.
Checking how the recovery is progressing in the different areas and attending to the victims has been a priority of the government, which at all times has made it clear that no one will be left unprotected.
Cuban President Miguel Díaz Canel and other government officials have visited Camagüey, Granma, Las Tunas, Holguín and Santiago de Cuba to know the most pressing needs, how the aid is being channeled and the actions of the different institutions in the difficult situation left by the rains.
And in the last hours, the President joined the governmental visit to Guantánamo and Santiago de Cuba, which has included visits to several municipalities of those provinces.
The authorities visited centers of social and economic importance and neighborhoods in transformation, where they talked with agricultural producers, workers and the population in general.
All the provinces of the country have been visited by Cuban authorities, since 2018, when this style of leadership was assumed, which keeps them in direct contact with the population and allows them to know the problems first hand.
This profitable work method is also an opportunity to promote local development policies, food production and housing construction, among other government priorities for the benefit of citizens.
