Biden and his inner circle refuse to recognize the obvious and insist on keeping his name on the ballot

The debate continues within the Democratic Party of the United States as to whether it is correct to maintain the candidacy for the White House of the current president, Joseph Biden, whose intellect shows more and more signs of a deplorable deterioration.
The voices calling for a change of candidate were recently joined by that of the actor George Clooney, whose weight in the campaign is much more important than his prominence on the screens, since he is a fundamental point in the fundraising.
As is well known, in the northern power, the ability to raise billions of dollars to finance the race is as important, if not more so, than political capacity, sympathy and the ability to connect with voters.
The choice to govern in this country is not a matter of the poor, or even of more or less wealthy millionaires, but of great fortunes backed by even greater fortunes.
Clooney, like the Disney consortium that also wants to replace Biden, is part of those fortunes, or the way to reach them.
There is also a growing number of representatives and senators and other personalities of the Democratic tent who are asking the president to step aside and not hinder his purposes, and Nancy Pelosi herself, an unquestionable figure of that party, categorically refused to support him.
However, Biden and his inner circle refuse to recognize the obvious and insist on keeping his name on the ballot, causing deep jubilation in the Republican ranks, who see the election as won.
A final setback, which is not a simple detail, occurred in the last hours, when at the NATO convention, convened to give more support to Ukraine, the head of the Oval Room, in front of all the guests, introduced Volodimir Selensky as: "President Putin".
Although he immediately tried to backtrack, the mistake had already been made and spread like wildfire in the media.
As if that were not enough, Biden has his close allies on edge because he has scheduled a press conference where he will undoubtedly be peppered with questions aimed at demonstrating his ability, or inability, to reason. We will talk about this in the next commentary.
For now, the Democratic Convention is very close, and before that, someone has to make a decision. We shall see.
