Havana, April 10 (RHC) -- Classes, workshops and conferences of the Twenty-third International Meeting of Academies for the Teaching of Ballet began Monday at Cuba's main ballet school.
Until April 19, the Fernando Alonso National School of Ballet in Havana will host the intense academic conference, unique of its kind in the world.
With representatives from more than a dozen countries, the event was inaugurated Sunday in the National Theater with a gala whose culminating moment was a suite of the classic “El Corsario,” in which students of different levels were able to demonstrate their technical skills.
