Havana, October 15 (RHC)-- Films marked by different stages of Peruvian cinematography are among the proposals that will reach cinemas in Cuba from October 29 to November 3.
According to the organizers of the exhibition, the program of presentations includes eight feature films of various genres that seek to demonstrate the reality of the South American country, its wealth such as gastronomy, its traditions and social conflicts.
This cinematographic event returns to Cuba after a decade, thanks to the collaboration of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC) together with the Embassy of Peru.
The week will open with the film El Mudo, a co-production between Peru, France and Mexico, premiered in 2013 and that under the direction of Daniel and Diego Vega tells the story of a judge who must face a series of events that lead him to compromise his ideas about justice.
The Multicine Infanta in Havana will also host the screening of the film Chicama by Omar Forero, which delves into the customs of the Andean peoples and shows the impact of this environment on the life of a professional accustomed to the city.
It also appears among the national team, El Acuarelista, a film by Daniel Rodríguez Risco that talks about the confrontation of dreams with the realities imposed by others.
It also highlights the historical film Una Sombra al Frente, by Augusto Tamayo San Román which is framed at the beginning of the 20th century, a period of construction and development strongly influenced by the positivist spirit of a Republic, aimed at integrating a country of rugged geography.
It also highlights Old friends, Fernando Villarán, which tells the adventures of three octogenarian friends.
As one of the most suggestive proposals of the event is Climas, by Enrica Pérez, the parallel stories of three women, conditioned by the different geographies, societies and climates of the same fragmented country.
The film De Ollas y Sueños, by Ernesto Cabellos, related to the gastronomic revolution of the South American nation, as well as the film Sigo Siendo, by Javier Corcuera that proposes a musical tour of that country will also arrive on the big screen.
