Cuban musician Arnaldo Rodriguez
Havana, June 12 (RHC)-- The group Arnaldo Rodriguez y su Talisman celebrates today two decades of a prolific career and its permanence among the island's popular taste.
With 15 albums produced under the label of the Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (Egrem), the group stands out for its sound and compositions, attached to the culture, history and identity of the nation.
Precisely, these elements are essential elements of his work, according to Rodríguez, who told national television, while stressing the importance of Talismán in the development of his career as a singer-songwriter.
His repertoire is distinguished by its fidelity to popular culture, while at the same time it constitutes a testimony of his versatility, since the discography contains compilations of songs created for special occasions, significant commemorations on the island, as well as soundtracks, among them the music of the novel Aquí estamos, said the artist.
Likewise, the group is a space for cultural promotion, which they channel through projects such as the Lucecita community social initiative, which has managed to bring art to the neighborhoods and involve children and teenagers in the world of music.
We have always liked to be generating ideas, and this project, founded in 2010, generates cultural learning, forms values and disseminates the identity traits of our country, said Rodríguez.
He also referred to other actions such as the creation of Mambo productions, as well as the Piña Colada Festival, which this year will take place at the beginning of July, as the opening of the summer, and will host a special concert to celebrate the anniversary.
During the rest of the year other activities will take place to celebrate the 20 years, including a tour of the main stages of the country, among other presentations, informed the director of the group.
