Colombian films screened in movie theaters in the Cuban capital
Havana, October 5 (RHC)-- A sample of contemporary Colombian filmography integrates the calendar of cinemas in the Cuban capital, with the purpose of bringing the seventh art of the South American nation to the public of our country.
According to the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry -Icaic-, the cycle will take place from the 5th to the 13th of this month at the 23rd and 12th and Glauber Rocha halls of the New Latin American Cinema Foundation.
The digital social networks of the Cubacine portal, Icaic's dissemination platform, also state that the selection includes almost a dozen films, while six editions of the ICAIC Latin American News will be screened.
One of the highlights of the exhibition, organized with the support of the Colombian Embassy in Havana, is the film Los Ajenos Fútbol Club, directed by Juan Camilo Pinzón Gómez (2016).
Also featured are the films Keyla, by Viviana Gómez Echeverry; Jinetes del Paraíso, by Talia Osorio Cardona; El piedra, by Rafael Martínez Moreno; Jericó, by Catalina Mesa and La Defensa del dragón, by Natalia Santa.
The feature film Mamá, by Philippe Van Hissenhoven, which delves into the relationship of three generations of women connected by the energy of the little girl in the house, is reserved for the closing of the presentations.
"Victoria receives her daughter Sara, who asks her to take care of her daughter despite the fact that they haven't spoken for some time, a favor that will alter the lady's quiet life and at the same time bring about reconciliation", the synopsis states.
