Havana, May 3 (RHC)-- As of today, the strings of the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba are getting ready to mark the beginning of the Cubadisco 2023 International Fair, to be held from May 6 to 14 in this capital.

Those who attend the Covarrubias Hall of the National Theater on May 7 will enjoy a classical program that includes Saint-Saëns' Symphony No. 3 and Maurice Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major.

In addition to appreciating the art of the deputy conductor of this maximum symphonic organism, Daiana García, who will share the stage with the young and multi-awarded pianist Rodrigo García.

Founded on October 7, 1959, the Symphonic Orchestra carries out a broad work of dissemination of Cuban, Latin American and universal music of all periods and stylistic trends.

Among its main activities are symphonic-choral concerts, didactic concert series, national tours, accompaniment of lyrical and ballet shows, soundtrack recordings, and participation in international competitions.

Under the slogan "Isla que suena" (Island that sounds), the biggest event of the recording industry in Cuba honors every year those productions that best meet the requirements in each category.    (Source: Prensa Latina)
