Madrid, June 3 (RHC)-- Music, of love and other miracles, frolicked on stage with art in the foreground, so that the Cuban group Buena Fe offered tonight a memorable concert in Madrid.

The duo of its lead vocalist Israel Rojas, and the guitar and the complement of Yoel Martinez, with the addition of Ernesto Cisneros' keyboards, reviewed hits from their repertoire and classics from the rich pentagram of Cuba's songbook to standing ovations in the Marcelino Camacho auditorium of this capital.

Closing of a busy tour of Spain, punctuated by attempts to sabotage their performances and prevent the free artistic expression of the group, by elements of Cuban origin that went as far as the siege in public places.

"We are very grateful to the support of you, of Comisiones Obreras (CCOO) for lending us this auditorium to offer you the best of our music. Here there is no place for hate or personal attacks, but for love and friendship," said Israel Rojas.

More than 500 people attended the evening in a central area of Madrid, where art was the great winner and the enthusiasm of the audience did not cease to recognize Buena Fe with loud applause and shouts of Viva Cuba.

They opened with a fragment of the emblematic Guantanamera to then slide their own melody and move on with lyrics attached to love, costumbrismo, with Corazonero, La Tempestad, Volar sin ti, No juegues con mi soledad, El hipopótamo, Café, Casanova, Cecilia Valdés and Bella Durmiente (...).

And a joyful version of Lágrimas Negras, the Cuban classic by Miguel Matamoros, with the Spanish Pilar Boyero, which made the audience rave.

Also, a heartfelt interpretation in Buena Fe style of Yo vengo a ofrecer mi corazón, by the Argentine Fito Páez, immortalized by Mercedes Sosa.

With the presence, among others, of Enrique Santiago, former Secretary of State for the 2030 Agenda, parliamentarian and leader of the Communist Party of Spain, and the Cuban ambassador to Spain, Marcelino Medina.

Against all odds, Buena Fe performed in Bilbao, Barcelona, Mataró, Valencia and Madrid on more than one occasion, with resounding success.
