Hollywood, November 10 (RHC)-- U.S. actress Angelina Jolie has condemned Israel's "deliberate" attacks on Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip in a post on her Instagram account.

The movie star shared a photo of the aftermath of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shelling of the Jabalia refugee camp on Tuesday, which claimed the lives of nearly 100 people and left a hundred injured.

"This is the deliberate shelling of a trapped population with nowhere to flee to. Gaza has been an open-air prison for nearly two decades and is fast becoming a mass grave," she commented, noting that 40% of the dead "are innocent children."

Similarly, Angelina Jolie lashed out at countries that have not spoken out in the face of Israeli attacks and the killing of thousands of civilians: "By refusing to demand a humanitarian ceasefire and preventing the UN Security Council from imposing it on both sides, world leaders are complicit in these crimes."

"While the world watches and with the active support of many governments, millions of Palestinian civilians - children, women, families - are being collectively punished and dehumanized," she added.
