The 6th Leo Brouwer Chamber Music Festival began in the Cuban capital with the attendance of important musicians from all over the world.

The opening attended by more than four thousand spectators brought back two heavy weights of Cuban music: Pancho Céspedes and Pablo Milanés, who treated audiences at Havana’s Karl Marx Theater with the concert Where Life Is. Señora, Donde está la vida (Where Life is), Pensar en ti and Todo es un misterio in the voice of Pancho Céspedes had the audience who packed the theater in Miramar astounded, as well as his duet with Pablo Milanés, singing a thrilling version of classics, such as  Yo no te pido and La Felicidad.

More than 300 musicians, music experts and critics from 14 countries are included in a program which will wind up October 12. During the chamber music gathering people will be able to enjoy African American cellist, Yo-Yo Ma, and his Mexican counterpart, Carlos Prieto, Argentinian singer-songwriter, Fito Páez, and Cuba’s Chucho Valdés, who will close the meet.

Dear Sir/Madame, I contact you to ask you about the contact information with Mr. Leo Brouwer. Since a fix years I made an arrangement-transcription of one of his works entitled "Tres Dansas Concertantes" originally written for string orchestre and classical guitar. The new chamber transcription is for two guitars and a contrabass. It is very coherent work and harmonically colorful with active instrumental parts. Can you please send me his address or e-mail where I can ask him for editing that new piece. I am in disposition for all relative questions. Kind regards! Dimitar Ivanov
