Cuba beats Belarus in its first match at Volleyball Challenger Cup

Ljubljana, July 4 (RHC) The Cuban men's team won its first appearance in the Volleyball Challenger Cup, underway in Slovenia, after beating Belarus three sets by one, in a challenge corresponding to group B of this competition.

The scores of the match were 25-20, 21-25, 25-21 and 25-20, with individual highlight for Marlon Yang, with 18 points, meanwhile Jesus Herrera and Miguel Angel Lopez got 17. For the Belarusians, Radzivon Miskevich scored 21, while Pavel Kuklinski contributed 16.

The Cuban national team will face Egypt on Friday, who gave up in their first duel with the Belarusians.

The Volleyball Challenger Cup, is an annual man´s international tournament contested by six national teams that acts as a qualifier for the FIVB Volleyball Men´s National League is underway in the Slovenian capital, Ljubljana, from July 3 through 7.
