Bayern Munich to climb to the top in German soccer
Havana, September 18 (RHC)-- Bayern Munich will be looking for a success to climb to the top of the German soccer league, when it faces newly promoted Bochum, 13th place in the table, at home.
The Munich team comes into the match after beating Barcelona 3-0 in their Champions League group stage opener, and is in third place in the country's top domestic competition, three points behind Wolfsburg, unbeaten in four outings.
For their part, Bochum have one win and three defeats and come into the match after losing to the current leaders in the standings, by a slim margin of one goal to zero.
Among the absentees Bayern will have for this Saturday's match is French winger Kingsley Coman, who had to undergo surgery for a cardiovascular problem and will be out for at least two weeks.
The closest encounter between these two teams was in 2019, when in the second round of the German Cup, Bayern visited their turn rival and defeated them 2-1 with goals from Sergei Gnabry and Tomas Müller, after trailing due to an own goal by full-back Alphonso Davies.
