Havana, December 18 (RHC)-- INDER and the mayor's office of the city of Le Lamentin, in Martinique, signed a cooperation agreement in the field of physical culture and sports.
The document was signed by the first vice president of the Cuban sports organization, Raúl Fornés Valenciano, and the mayor of the city of Martinique, David Zodda, at the Havana Sports City Coliseum.
The agreement foresees working in the interest of fostering, promoting and strengthening technical cooperation in the field of physical education and sports; and increasing exchanges of delegations, coaches, athletes, experts and specialists in these fields and their applied sciences.
It is also proposed to foster the exchange of information, documentation, study and methodological material on physical education and sports, as well as to promote the participation of professors and specialists in seminars, courses and scientific conferences organized in both countries on physical culture and sports.
In order to contribute to raising the level of sports in Cuba and Le Lamentin, work is planned in areas such as the organization of programs, facilities and equipment, training and improvement of coaches and specialists, academic exchange, sports medicine and anti-doping control.
Other topics of interest include sports administration, information technology, sponsorship, athlete and coach recruitment, among others.
The agreement will be in force for five years from the date of signature.
