Havana, January 29 (ACN)-- The prosperous Nuevo Fútbol Uruguay Company is already prepared for its visit to Havana, where its federation members will hold an interesting exchange with the directors of the Cuban Football Association (AFC) next week.
In an exclusive interview with Agencia Cubana de Noticias, colleague Gastón Fernández, in charge of press matters in the Charrúa company, explained that the work agenda between both entities will be from February 2 to 5, and undoubtedly, expectations are growing among them due to the variety of topics to be discussed.
Among the various activities we have planned is our presence at the Pedro Marrero national stadium to watch the Havana team's game on the opening day of the Cuban league's Apertura tournament, said Fernández.
Our visit has as its main objective the exchange of ideas between the presidents of both institutions, as there are several issues to discuss related to the collaboration agreement signed between them, he said.
It should be recalled that, in the document signed last December 15 between both institutions, Uruguay defines as primary objectives to make recommendations and advice on Cuban soccer in order to raise its level both locally and internationally.
In addition, Nuevo Fútbol Uruguay will have the mission of coordinating and supporting the presence of Cuba's U-20 national team in the South American country for the first semester of 2022, and the possibility of including the island's senior squad is being studied.
Nuevo Fútbol will attend to the specific training of youth talents selected in Cuba by specialists from Uruguay, both in technical-tactical and competitive aspects.
This agreement also includes that the Uruguayan specialists will be in charge of the training of soccer coaches in Cuba, in theoretical and practical aspects.
Likewise, the AFC commits to provide the specialized personnel necessary for the implementation and execution of this collaboration agreement.
The maximum directive of Cuban soccer will decide, together with Nuevo Fútbol Uruguayo, the sports project or projects to be carried out each year, their implementation and execution.
