Managua, September 14 (PL)-- Nicaragua will host the international baseball triangular next week, a tournament that will have as guests the Senadores of Venezuela and the Honduran national team.
The friendly matches will be held as part of the preparation for the 2022 World Preclassic to be held in Panama from September 30 to October 5, informed the organizers of the sporting event.
"For us it is going to be a great opportunity to test the National Team and make friendly ties with these professional leagues of Venezuela", commented to the press the president of the Nicaraguan Federation of Associated Baseball (Feniba), Nemesio Porras.
For his part, the manager of the Pinolera team, Marvin Benard, highlighted the importance of this sporting event, as it will serve to see how the athletes are doing and how they react to the teams from Honduras and Venezuela.
"It will be enough competition for us to have a better idea of what we have to do, adjust the way we have to adjust and see how to balance the best we can," said Benard.
The first match will be between the teams of Nicaragua and Venezuela next Thursday, September 22, at the Dennis Martinez stadium in the capital.
