Marlon Yant on the attack with La Lube
Havana, May 19 (Jit) - Young Marlon Yant was the last Cuban volleyball player to finish his performance in international leagues and will join in the coming days in Cuba the national team, which will travel next May 29 to Argentina for two friendlies, prior to the Nations League.
Marlon was this time runner-up in the Italian Super League with his club, Lube Civitanova, which lost in 5 matches (3-2) against Trentino.
The Villaclareño was one of the Lube's mainstays throughout the match and in the last game he scored 11 points.
The third place in the Superliga went to Piacenza, where the central defenders of the Cuban national team, Robertlandy Simón and Roamy Alonso, who are injured, play.
Some Cuban players have already started to join the National Volleyball School and on June 29 they will travel to Argentina for friendlies, before their debut in the Volleyball Nations League, June 7-10 in Ottawa, Canada.
In the first week of the VNL the Cubans will compete against the Netherlands, Italy, Brazil and Canada.
