Havana, July 14 (ACN) - The Cuban national team remained undefeated in the men's U-23 Pan American Volleyball Cup, held in Havana, by defeating Chile 3-0.

With this result, the Cubans achieved their third success on the court, in addition to the one they will get this Friday against Mexico by no-show, since the Aztecs could not travel to Havana.

Opposite Alejandro Miguel Gonzalez (11) and corner attacker Bryan Camino (10) were the top scorers for the Cuban team, which again committed too many unforced errors (26).

In the other match of the day, the also undefeated Dominican Republic defeated Peru 3-1.

Now, Cruz's pupils remain leaders in the standings, with four wins without setbacks, followed by the Dominicans (3-0), Chileans (2-2), Peruvians (1-2), Nicaraguans (1-2) and the absent Mexicans (0-6).

The Cubans rest this Friday, when they were to face Mexico, while Peru-Chile and the Dominicans-Nicaragua will take the field.

The event awards two berths to the 2025 Pan American Junior Games to the top two teams of the North, Central American and Caribbean Confederation (Norceca).
