Paris, May 13 (PL).- The Minister of the Interior of France, Gérald Darmanin, announced that the security forces have thwarted 23 hostile actions against the transfer of the Olympic flame that will illuminate the Paris-2024 games.

According to the BFM TV network, although Darmanin did not go into details, police sources confided to him that of the 23 frustrated actions, four were the work of enemies of the celebration of the Paris-2024 games, seven were related to the pro-Palestinian movement, eight with local problems and one linked to the environmental cause.

The Olympic flame arrived on French soil on May 8 in Marseille from Greece, and the next day its relay began throughout the country, with a total of 12 thousand kilometers to travel, about 10 thousand bearers and more than 400 cities and communes to visit.

The torch arrived on Sunday in the southern city of Arles, from where it will continue its route through France, with Montpellier as Monday's destination.
