Cuban duo goes for bronze in Norceca beach volleyball

Havana, May 14 (PL) --The Cuban duo made up of Jorge Luis Alayo and Noslen Díaz fell today against their American counterpart in the Final phase of the Norceca Beach Volleyball Circuit and will discuss the bronze medal.

Their executioners in this instance were Miles Evans and Chase Budinger, who earned their ticket to the grand final by beating them in two sets with scores of 21-9 and 21-17.

The Antilleans had come this far undefeated by defeating the Cayman Islands couple formed by Tyler Penberthy and Bryce Mayer in the quarterfinals in two sets.

In the other match, the Canadian tandem of Samuel Schachter-Daniel Dearing defeated the Mexican tandem of Miguel Sarabia-GabrielCruz 2-1 (18-21, 21-18, 15-7).

The medals will be contested this afternoon and the champions of each sex will obtain 800 points for the Olympic classification ranking.
