Silesia, Poland, Aug 25 (PL) Cuban triple jumper Leyanis Perez placed second today in the twelfth stop of the Diamond League, when she landed the spikes at a distance of 14.42 meters.

The event was dominated by the silver medalist in the summer event in Paris 2024, Jamaican Shanieka Ricketts, who reached 14.50, and in third place was Italian Dariya Derkack with 14.02.

Leyanis, world runner-up and fifth at the Olympic Games, could not maintain her unbeaten record in the League, after winning the meetings in Eugene (14.73), Stockholm (14.67) and Monaco (14.96).
