Havana, Oct 22nd (RHC) Real Madrid staged another spectacular comeback to take three points on matchday with a 5-2 win over Borussia Dortmund. Nuri Şahin came out brave at the Bernabeu, and Donyell Malen put the visitors ahead in the 30th minute after a Julian Brandt steal on the edge of the area and some good work by Guirassy with his back to goal. And just four minutes later, Gittens made it 0-2 from Malen's pass. Madrid could have pulled one back before the break, but twice the post prevented them from doing so.

After the break, Madrid came out with an extra gear, or two, and in the 62nd minute they had already equalized. First it was Antonio Rüdiger who pulled one back with a header from Mbappé's pass, and just two minutes later Vinícius made it 2-2 to the delight of the home fans. Lucas Vázquez completed the comeback with a great shot from inside the box, and in the final minutes Vinícius completed his 'hat'trick' with two great individual goals.

For their part, Girona achieved their first victory in the UEFA Champions League by beating S. Bratislava 2-0 thanks to goals from Miguel Gutiérrez and Juanpe, thus earning the first three points in this league phase and keeping alive their aspirations to continue fighting to reach the next round.

Despite the numerous injuries that weighed down the home side, Míchel's team dominated the match from start to finish and could have even achieved a better result if Stuani had converted his penalty, but Takáč guessed the Uruguayan striker's intentions. The Slovakian side tried to make up the score in the last minutes, but the crossbar and Gazzaniga managed to keep a clean sheet for the 'Gironins'.
