Nassau, Dec 7 (RHC) Cuba knocked out the U.S. Virgin Islands 10-0 today on the grass of the André Rodgers Stadium and qualified for the final of the II Caribbean Cup for under-15, which is being held in the Bahamas.

After losing their unbeaten streak the day before to the hosts with a score of 11-8, the team led by Walter Urrutia defeated the small islanders for the second time in this tournament and will discuss the crown against the winner of the game between the Bahamians and the San Martinenses, scheduled for tonight.

In this afternoon's challenge, Marcos del Toro was the most productive hitter for the team from Cuba; he hit a triple that towed three teammates to the plate and Antonio Nolazco towed two with a double.

Michel Chirinos hit a double, and Johan Acosta, although he could not hit any hits, drove in a couple of runs.

Joseph Arias opened the game with a pair of bases on balls and had to go to the dugout, but his replacement Lekian Acosta walked the entire five-chapter game with eight strikeouts to get the win.

The loser was Anerae Mason, who gave up eight runs in just one inning of work, five of which were foul.
