Madrid, Feb 12 (PL) The draw for the semifinals of the Copa del Rey of Spanish soccer, held today at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, has set Barcelona against Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid against Real Sociedad of San Sebastián.
It is worth remembering that Barcelona reached this stage after a 5-0 thrashing of Valencia, Atletico also overwhelmed Getafe 5-0, Real Sociedad defeated Osasuna 2-0, and Real Madrid sweated it out to eliminate Leganes 3-2.
Barcelona will play the first leg of the tie at home and go on the road for the return leg, while Real Madrid will take the opposite route, first going to Real Sociedad's home and then hosting the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The first leg matches will take place on February 25 and 26, while the second leg will be played on March 1 and 2.
The successful teams in these matches will earn tickets to the final of the competition, scheduled to be played in a single match on April 26 at La Cartuja stadium in Seville.
