Barcelona won the Copa del Rey
Spain, 26 Apr (RHC) Barcelona won the Copa del Rey after beating Real Madrid 3-2 in extra time.
At the La Cartuja stadium in Seville, Pedri González scored the first for the Catalans in the 28th minute, but in the second half changed the landscape.
Madridista coach Carlo Ancelotti made his riskiest move by starting the Frenchman Ferland Mendy, who left the ground injured in less than 10 minutes and conditioned the changes.
Meanwhile, the stellar French striker Kylian Mbappé was a substitute in the final, still suffering from a sprained ankle that prevented him from playing the last two matches of the merengue.
Mbappé managed the partial tie with a superb free kick at 70, his compatriot Aurélien Tchouaméni put the 2-1 to 77, but Ferran Torres (84) sent the clash to overtime, where the city of Condal won their second title of the season thanks to Jules Kounde (116).
Although it was not beaten like the previous two matches, this one again made the superiority of the blaugranas in this season, in which they still aspire to the triplete, because they go first in the League and are alive in the Champions League.
