Mexico City, June 9 (RHC)-- A new mass grave has been discovered in the Mexican state of Veracruz, with reports saying that it could contain at least 70 human bodies. Members of the Colectivo Solecito told reporters that they found the grave in the town of Ixtaczoquitlan on private property after a map of the location was sent anonymously.
Zurita has been looking for her 30-year-old son, Dorian Javier Rivera Zurita, for four years and eight months after he was kidnapped in the nearby city of Cordoba. She is one of many mothers involved in Colectivo Solecito who is searching for answers related to the whereabouts of their children.
Last August, the group found a pit in Colinas de Santa Fe, a small town just outside of the port city of Heroica Veracruz, with the remains of at least 250 people. That mass grave was discovered under similar conditions, as Colectivo Solecito also received an anonymous message with a map of the location.
Earlier this week, the human rights group, joined by experts in mass graves, began an inspection of the area. The state attorney's office of Veracruz told reporters that it is aware of the new finding but can not specify the number of graves found at the moment.
