Buenos Aires November 30 (RHC)-- Former Argentinean President, Cristina Fernandez Kirchner, was sworn in on Wednesday as a senator in the Argentine Congress in a special session held in Buenos Aires, in which another 23 newly elected members of congress were also sworn in.

CFK based her campaign on an opposition to the austerity policies of President Mauricio Macri, who the former president has accused of reversing social reforms won under her presidency.

Other notable members of congress sworn in before the National Congress of Argentina were Carlos Menem and Adolfo Rodríguez Saá, as well as Esteban Bullrich, Gladys González, and Miguel Pichetto who represent the majority party headed by Mauricio Macri.

Gladys González is currently traveling and was unable to be properly sworn in. However, she will be sworn in during the next session of congress.
