Lima, February 25 (RHC) -- Peruvian Prime Minister Cesar Villanueva on Monday submitted his resignation to President Ollanta Humala following a brawl with the country's finance minister, an official source said.

According to a report by official news agency Andina, Villanueva and minister of economy and finance Luis Miguel Castilla quarreled over a disagreement about raising ministers' salaries.

Castilla on Sunday denied that he and Villanueva had agreed to an eventual salary increase by saying he had been out of the country accompanying Humala.

Villanueva is the fourth prime minister to resign from the post during Humala's government.
