Moscow, March 7 (RHC) Russian ambassador to the European Union Vladimir Chizhov described as inacceptable and unfair the expressions and terms used in a document issued by the European Union Summit on the crisis in Ukraine.
After saying that the language used in the document and the threats of sanctions do not intimidate Moscow, the diplomat said that the formula proposed by the European Council president Herman Van Rompuy run contrary to a solution based on dialog and negotiations.
The European Union new stand tries to break the accord of association with Ukraine, whose postponement caused the conflicts that led to the forced ouster of President Viktor Yanukovich, said the diplomat who also noted that the European Union is now trying to show its support to the current illegitimate Ukrainian authorities by signing the political section of the accord.
Moscow insists that the only legitimate authority in Ukraine is president Yanukovich, who was ousted following the violation of an accord he signed along with opposition leaders on February 21 with Germany, France and Poland as warrantors representing the European Union.
