Caracas, July 3 (RHC)-- The Executive Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, denounced this Thursday that the Venezuelan gold retained by the Bank of England was going to be used "to pay, together with the Esequibo, a recognition of this government for Juan Guaidó."

Delcy Rodriguez said: "It is one of the most grotesque things in the republican history of Venezuela, to have to see a criminal organization of this kind handing over our sovereignty, our territorial integrity, handing over the resources of the Venezuelan people."

During a television appearance, the vice president showed the video involving Guaidó's alleged representative in the United Kingdom, Vanessa Neuman, where she spoke with members of the Voluntad Popular party and promised to hand over that territory along with Venezuela's gold in exchange for support for Guaidó."

On the issue of Esequibo, the Venezuelan leader said that Venezuela's rights over that territory are legitimate, and that they are part of a historical territorial dispute.  "Venezuela has absolute rights over that territory," she added.

In related news, on Thursday evening, the Venezuelan government announced that it would rescind the explusion order for the ambassador of the European Union to leave the country.  President Nicolas Maduro said he was willing to sit down with representatives of the EU and discuss the current political situation, without preconditions.
