Ankara, July 21 (RHC)-- Turkish media is reporting rescue teams have pulled the bodies of 59 refugees from Lake Van in eastern Turkey, following a shipwreck in late June.

The boat was carrying up to 60 people — three times over its capacity limit.  At least five suspects have been detained over the deaths.  Most of the refugees were believed to be from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran.
