WHO’s COVID-19 plan to vaccinate poorer nations faces “very high” risk of failure

Geneva, December 18 (RHC)-- The World Health Organization’s global plan for delivering COVID-19 vaccines to 91 poor and middle-income countries faces a “very high” risk of failure and could leave billions of people with no access to vaccines until as late as 2024.

According to a report from WHO headquarters in Geneva, the countries most at risk are mainly in Africa, Asia and Latin America.  There are also reports of wealthy nations hoarding the vaccine, making it increasingly difficult to obtain in poorer, Third World countries.
