Bogota, February 12 (RHC)-- In Colombia, the Comunes Party (formerly known as the FARC) has denounced the murder of another ex-combatant in the town of Puerto Asis, Putumayo department.  The political group reported that the murder of Antonio Ricaurte Solarte, 43, was committed on February 9th.

"It hurts us very much; every dream that they extinguish and the pain of every family," expressed the Comunes Party through its Twitter account.

For its part, the Institute for Development and Peace Studies (Indepaz) reported that Antonio Ricaurte Solarte was in the process of reincorporation into society, in the municipality of La Pradera.

Indepaz points out that with the crime of the ex-combatant, the number of peace signatories murdered in 2021 rises to seven.  A senator of the Comunes Party, Carlos Antonio Lozada, announced that with this murder, a total of 255 ex-rebel combatants have been killed since the signing of the peace agreement.
