Bogota, June 19 (PL-RHC) – U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden has reiterated his country's support of the Colombian peace process, whose importance for the region was highlighted during a meeting with President Juan Manuel Santos.
Biden told the Colombian president: "I couldn't be happier than returning to Colombia after peace is signed; I know this is a long process and much is yet to be done, but I'm fully certain that you (Juan Manuel Santos) are determined to achieve such a benefit for your country.”
Biden arrived Tuesday night for a 24-hour state visit as part of a Latin American tour that took him to Brazil, and will also include the Dominican Republic and Guatemala.
