Tehran, June 12 (RHC)-- Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro toured the Iranian industrial conglomerate Mapna Group this Sunday as part of his Eurasian tour, where he ratified his commitment to strengthen ties in strategic areas for the country's development.

After visiting the Mapna Group facilities and its advances in areas such as oil, gas, transportation and medical care, the Venezuelan leader expressed his willingness to enter into cooperation agreements.  "I leave my greetings of admiration for the great technological and industrial advances of this powerful company.  I am waiting for you in Caracas to sign a strategic alliance for the development of Venezuela," he said.

The company's executives explained to President Maduro that Mapna Group is an industrial conglomerate of 70 companies and is currently distinguished by the manufacture of advanced machinery for the industrial field, including gas turbines.

During his visit to Iran, President Maduro held a meeting with the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, where they highlighted the ability of the Venezuelan and Iranian peoples to resist the illegal sanctions of the White House.

"Your resistance and that of the people of Venezuela is very valuable because it enhances the value, status and merits of a nation and a country, as well as its leaders," Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized.
