Mexico City, July 18 (RHC)-- Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) affirmed this Sunday that Mexico is one of the countries that suffers the least from inflation, a phenomenon that hits most nations in the world, due to the policies he implements.

The Mexican president made a working tour this weekend through the states of Baja California Sur, Michoacán and Veracruz, to supervise the rehabilitation of fertilizer production plants, which will be delivered free of charge to two million producers.

In this context, López Obrador stated: "Mexico is one of the countries that is suffering the least inflation, why? Because we started up the refineries and we are supporting the countryside, and this is part of that plan".

He mentioned that his government programs serve to face the global inflationary phenomenon.  "We will deliver this fertilizer free of charge to two million producers, ejidatarios and small landowners.  Without corn there is no independent and fair country," he commented in a message on his Twitter account.

The Mexican ruler said that in the search for food sovereignty, his mandate has promoted the production of agrochemicals.

The free delivery of fertilizers to Mexican producers will lead to an increase in crop production, with the aim of achieving food self-sufficiency, he said.
