La Paz, December 6 (RHC)-- Bolivian President Luis Arce has affirmed that the Bolivian people and the National Navy will not allow a new loss of territory before the plans of politicians of the department of Santa Cruz to review its relationship with the State.

During the event for the 196th anniversary of the creation of the Navy in La Paz, the nation's leader affirmed that the proposal is based on the intention to manipulate the population to defend particular interests.  "Inciting confrontation among Bolivians by using a caricatured version of federalist regionalism causing pain and death should outrage us all," stressed the president.

"In defense of the national heritage, we give the immortal liberator Antonio José de Sucre satisfaction to his distinguished request to defend, among all dangers, the national integrity," he said.

Last November 13, after accepting the realization of the Population and Housing Census in 2024, the Pro Santa Cruz Committee proposed to the City Council to convene a constitutional commission to review the future political relationship of Santa Cruz with Bolivia.
