Violent storms battered southern and midwestern United States over the weekend, causing at least 32 deaths

 

Havana, April 3 (RHC) Violent storms that battered the southern and midwestern United States over the weekend have killed at least 32 people.

 

According to an AP report, the severe weather conditions unleashed confirmed or suspected tornadoes in at least eleven states, destroying homes and power lines in their path, toppling trees, overturning cars and even collapsing the roof of an Illinois theater.

 

Deaths are reported in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi and Tennessee, the latter state with 15 deaths recorded.

 

President Joe Biden expressed his solidarity with the families of the victims and assured that the authorities are still "assessing the full extent of the damage." (Source: RT)
