Pakistani party convenes emergency meeting due to political situation in the country
Havana, April 23 (RHC) - Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) party chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman on Sunday called an emergency central committee meeting for April 26 with the subject of the political situation of the country.
At the meeting, which will last approximately four days, the judicial crisis facing Pakistan and its impact on the nation’s current circumstances will be analyzed in detail, according to JUI-F spokesman Muhammad Aslam Ghauri, quoted by the Associated Press of Pakistan. (APP).
The meeting is aimed at determining the party's position in light of the current situation, the official said. In addition, the meeting will examine the situation of peace and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the tribal areas under federal administration.
The appointment will include the planning of the next elections to the national and provincial assembly. Similarly, it will have a space to pay tribute to former Federal Minister of Religious Affairs Mufti Abdul Shakoor, who died last week in a traffic accident, and to examine the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to APP, the emergency meeting has significant importance in shaping the future direction of the country and the political stance of JUI-F.
