Budapest, May 17 (RHC) The Hungarian government will block within the European Union (EU) the delivery of more aid to Ukraine, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto announced Wednesday.

According to the chancellor, Volodimir Zelenski's government has an increasingly belligerent attitude towards that of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

I think it is fair to say that we have had enough, Szijjarto told reporters in Vienna, Austria, where he is on an official visit.

The decision puts at risk the sending of 500 million euros to Ukraine and also leaves in the air the adoption of further coercive measures against Russia since the adoption of both options requires the consensus of all EU members.

I want to make it clear that as long as Ukraine keeps OTP Bank (the largest commercial bank of the country) on its list of war sponsors we cannot support decisions that would require further economic and financial sacrifices by the regional mechanism and its member states (...) The same applies to sanctions, Szijjarto emphasized. (Source: PL)
