Mexico City, September 11 (RHC)-- The presidential aspirant of the coalition of parties in the government of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, defined her first five proposals and called to open the movement to those who want to be part of it, heading to next year's elections.
Before the members of Morena's National Council and the leaders of the Labor Party and the Green Party, Sheinbaum received her accreditation on Sunday as national coordinator for the defense of the transformation, a position that will eventually become the standard bearer of Morena and its allies for the presidential race.
After the president of Morena's National Council, Alfonso Durazo, handed her the accreditation as the winner of the internal process, the former head of the Mexico City Government made her first proposals.
Claudia Sheinbaum emphasized that she supported the "consolidation of our program of continuity with change", for which she urged to go house by house and form defense committees throughout the country. In addition, he urged the dissemination of the achievements of the fourth transformation, as well as "to open the call for the state, district and municipal coordinations".
She also called for "opening our movement, of course guaranteeing our principles and our project, consolidating the coalition of the political parties that are part of it, but above all with a broad call, because I am convinced that there are many Mexicans who want to be part of this great movement of transformation".
"Under the presidency of AMLO (Andrés Manuel López Obrador) we have been building a more just and sovereign nation. The foundations of our homeland have been laid, but there is still much to do," expressed Sheinbaum.
She announced that soon the sites and dates of the assemblies in the 32 entities in which they can be integrated will be announced. The leader of the fourth transformation was chanted as "president, president" by the members of the Council, among them, the 22 acting governors of the party, the governor-elect of the State of Mexico, and deputies and senators that make up this body.
In attendance were the candidates of the internal process Ricardo Monreal, Manuel Velasco and Gerardo Fernández Noroña. Also, the leaders of the PT and PVEM, but without the presence of Adán Augusto López, who participated in the process, or Marcelo Ebrard, who has left in doubt his continued particiaption in the party, after asserting that he no longer has a space in Morena.
