Caracas, October 19 (RHC)-- The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America, ALBA-TCP, condemned and strongly repudiated the criminal attack by the Israeli occupation forces on the Al Ahli Baptist Hospital in central Gaza.
In a statement, the entity warned of the danger that this escalation of violence represents for regional peace and stability, as well as its serious humanitarian consequences. It also stressed that a just and definitive solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is urgently needed through dialogue, based on a two-state solution, with East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine, in addition to the need to guarantee the right of return of refugees.
"ALBA-TCP rejects the death of civilians and innocent people of all parties involved in this conflict, without differentiating ethnicity, nationality or religious faith. It also rejects the destruction of homes, hospitals and civilian infrastructure, as well as the deprivation of water, electricity and fuel services to the population of Gaza," the document states.
On the other hand, it reiterated "its call to the international community and the United Nations to demand an immediate end to the war, to facilitate the immediate entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza, to put an immediate end to the genocide of the population of Gaza and to determine the responsibilities for crimes against humanity."
The alliance stated that the escalation of the conflict is a consequence of decades of illegal occupation and colonization by Israel in violation of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, the United Nations Charter, International Law and International Humanitarian Law.
Other nations such as Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Chile also condemned the criminal Israeli bombing of hospitals in Gaza.
