Gaza City, November 12 (RHC)-- The World Health Organization has lost communications with its medical staff inside the largest hospital in Gaza, the Al-Shifa Hospital.  There are fears for hundreds of patients, including 37 premature babies in incubators at al-Shifa, as electricity has failed in several medical complexes.

The United Nations warned on Saturday that several hospitals and medical facilities in Gaza City and northern Gaza have been “directly hit” as Israel intensifies attacks around hospitals, the United Nations has said.

The report by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the occupied Palestinian Territories also notes that power at the Al-Shifa and the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza was reportedly cut off after fuel for generators ran out.  Generators at Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City failed and could not be repaired due to the continuous bombardment.
