Bogotá, September 29 (Xinhua-RHC) -- Colombian authorities have reportedly seized US $458,600, that was hidden inside a truck, from the rebel Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), a military spokesman said in a statement.
Colombia's army Pichincha battalion commander, William Suarez, said the money belonged to FARC's 6th Front, which intended to take the money from southwestern Cauca province to its neighboring Narino province or to Ecuador.
The cash was packaged in 23 packs and hidden among construction materials in the truck. Three people inside the truck were also arrested by authorities.
The Colombian government and the FARC rebels have been in peace talks for nearly two years, seeking to end the five-decade armed conflict between them.
