Six voting centers have been set up for Venezuelans in Colombia.

Bogotá, July 28 (RHC) Half a dozen polling stations in Colombia are ready this Sunday to receive Venezuelans who will vote to elect the president of their country of origin.

Venezuelans will be able to exercise their right to vote at the consulates of Barranquilla, Cartagena, Cúcuta, Medellín and Río Hacha, while in Bogotá the conditions for voting have been prepared at the Technical College of Palermo.

In order to vote, Venezuelans must be 18 years of age, be registered to vote, and present a valid or expired laminated Venezuelan identity card.

According to the Venezuelan National Electoral Council (CNE), only 7.10 thousand will be able to go to the polls in Colombia, the same number of people who were registered in the Electoral Registry and reported the change of residence during the days of updating the electoral roll, carried out between March 16 and April 16 in the consulates.

Citizens who have completed this process will be able to confirm their voting center in Colombia by accessing the CNE website and will be able to know in which part of the New Granada they will be voting.

The voting centers are open since 06:00 till 18:00 local time.

Today, Venezuelans will choose the future president of their country from among 10 candidates.

The nine opponents and Nicolás Maduro, who is running for re-election, ended an intense 22-day campaign last Thursday that took them across the country to present their government programs and proposals for the future to their supporters. (PL)
