Mexico City, August 19 (RHC)-- The President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum concluded this Sunday the presidential transition tour in Monterrey, Nuevo León, occasion in which the president elected in the elections of June 2 ratified that as of next October 1, the second floor of the 4T begins.

For ten weekends, López Obrador and Sheinbaum toured the 32 federal entities and strategic works.

Before hundreds of militants and supporters of the Morena Party, gathered in the Explanada de los Héroes de Monterrey, Sheinbaum described the tour as historic and highlighted the positive impact that AMLO's management had on the national political scene.

"I say that President López Obrador has represented, or represents, a profound change in the way in which the government is governed, in the objectives of the government, in the causes, in the principles that move an honest government that is with the people of Mexico."

She said that he is the "best president that Mexico has had."  She added: "There is no president who has finished his six-year term with the love that the people of Mexico have for Andrés Manuel López Obrador.  The polls say that he has up to 80 percent popularity, who recognize his work."

It transpired that it will not be the last tour, as the head of state invited Sheinbaum to participate in the inauguration of some priority works.

During the evening, they agreed on the importance of governing by allowing participation, with transparency and without corruption, and emphasizing the principle "For the good of all, the poor first."

Local media highlights that during the event the following slogan was heard repeatedly: "It is an honor to be with Obrador," to which the current president responded to the crowd:  "It is an honor to be with Claudia today."

As he has said on other occasions, López Obrador assured that "Claudia will soon be the best President in the world."  The tour between the two began on June 14th.

Nuevo León Governor Samuel García highlighted the contribution that López Obrador made to the state in issues such as water, security and mobility. He added that Sheinbaum called on state authorities on four issues: water, jobs, housing and infrastructure.
