Gaza City, August 22 (RHC)-- A series of airstrikes tonight against houses, schools and tents sheltering displaced civilians in the center and south of the Gaza Strip left at least 25 dead.

According to local medical sources, cited by the WAFA news agency, “the occupation warplanes resumed bombings against the Salah Eddin school in Gaza City, which caused the death of several civilians.”

The agency itself also reports that the warplanes that attacked the enclave also fired shots at the eastern part of Khan Yunis, where at least 21 people have died.

In addition, many others were killed — including two children and five women — WAFA points out, when the bombs hit a group of tents.  One civilian died in the bombing of a house east of Khan Yunis, and several people south of the Gaza Strip.

Of the dead, at least 13 were reportedly taken to Nasser Hospital, while another group of aircraft carried out an attack on the town of Abasan al-Kabira, located in the eastern part of Khan Yunis.

On the other hand, at least four civilians were killed after an attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp, in the centre of the Strip.
