Beirut, October 28 (RHC)-- The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has carried more attacks on Israeli targets in response to the regime’s genocide in Gaza and aggression against Lebanon.

On Sunday, Hezbollah rockets and drones hit many Israeli settlements including Kiryat Shmona and Nahariyya.

“In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, and in defense of Lebanon and its people, and within the framework of the warning issued by the Islamic Resistance to a number of settlements in the north, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance at 7:15 pm on Sunday 27-10-2024, bombed the settlement of Ayelet HaShahar with a barrage of rockets,” a Hezbollah statement said.

Another Hezbollah statement said, “The Islamic Resistance fighters targeted on Sunday afternoon, 27-10-2024, the Shoumera settlement with an attack drone, hitting its targets accurately.”

Separate rocket attacks targeted gatherings of Israeli soldiers in some other settlements in the occupied territories.

Hezbollah said the “fighters of the Islamic Resistance, at 10:00 PM, on Sunday, 27-10-2024, targeted a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers in the Misgav Am settlement with a barrage of rockets.”

The resistance movement launched a drone strike on Israel’s Marj site as well, causing casualties among the regime’s forces there.  Hezbollah also says its air defense units confronted Israeli warplanes and a Hermes 900 drone with surface-to-air missiles and forced them to leave the Lebanese airspace.

The Lebanese resistance movement has significantly scaled up its operations against the Israeli forces in response to a series of assassinations of its leaders, showcasing its advanced military capabilities.

Israel has been targeting Lebanon since October 2023, after Hezbollah announced the opening of a “support front” in response to the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, killing tens of thousands of Palestinians.

As many as 2,483 Lebanese people have been killed and 11,628 others wounded as a result of the regime’s intensified attacks against the country.

Hezbollah has been responding to the aggression with numerous retaliatory operations, targeting the occupied Palestinian territories.
