Caracas, January 10 (RHC)-- The sectoral vice president of Politics, Citizen Security, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, revealed a detailed plan to disregard the constitution and establish a parallel presidency outside of Venezuela, through the swearing-in of the defeated opposition leader as president.

On his program "Con el Mazo Dando," Cabello presented evidence of a 21-page document written by former presidential candidate Enrique Márquez and lawyer Sergio Urdaneta, titled "Urgent Proposal for January 10, restricted circulation document."

The plan, Cabello indicated, focuses on swearing in the defeated presidential candidate Edmundo González Urrutia in a Venezuelan diplomatic mission abroad to establish a "provisional government."  Cabello denounced this as unconstitutional, citing Article 231 of the Constitution of Venezuela, which mandates that presidential inaugurations take place before the National Assembly within the national territory.

"They intend to bypass the Constitution," asserted Cabello, emphasizing that Nicolás Maduro will begin his new term on January 10 after his re-election in 2024.

The document that was discovered on Márquez's computer was addressed to opponents such as Antonio Ledezma, Asdrúbal Aguiar, and Humberto Calderón Berti. Cabello linked these events to the recent arrest of an FBI agent in Venezuela, described as a veteran operative with more than two decades of activity in the country.

The operation that led to the capture of the FBI agent also resulted in the arrest of two Colombian mercenaries, allegedly linked to Ukrainian contractors. Cabello claimed that the seized devices contained evidence of plans directed against the Venezuelan government.

These arrests are part of "Operation Tun Tun," a national security strategy that, according to Cabello, will reveal new conspiracies in the coming days. The Venezuelan government remains committed to defending institutional stability ahead of Maduro's inauguration, scheduled for Friday, January 10th.
