Ramallah, March 1 (RHC)-- At least 27 Palestinians have lost their lives and dozens have been injured in the last 39 days due to the attacks of the Israeli Army in the city of Jenin and its refugee camp.
The humanitarian crisis in the region has also been aggravated by the bombings and military operations that have caused serious damage to the infrastructure in the area.
In one of the most recent incidents, an Israeli soldier shot a doctor in the foot in the Al-Zahraa neighborhood. In another attack that took place in the Jenin refugee camp, a woman was injured while trying to retrieve her belongings. During the attack, Israel's Zionist entity also fired at a medical team that was trying to give her first aid.
The Israeli siege has had a devastating impact on the daily lives of Jenin residents. According to information from the Wafa news agency, economic losses are estimated at $5,546,012 per day, while the blockade of checkpoints around the city prevents Palestinians from the territories occupied in 1948, who previously contributed significantly to the local economy, from entering the territory.
Israeli forces have also been accused of burning houses, destroying roads and preventing residents from accessing their homes, actions that have left many families in extremely precarious conditions.
Media coverage of the situation in Jenin has been severely limited, as journalists have been denied access to the refugee camp, making it difficult to document all the abuses.
Israeli troops have also converted several homes into military posts, especially the buildings overlooking the refugee camp. In addition, water shortages persist in some localities as a result of the destruction of roads and networks.
